Synopsis
1964. Devenu un vieil homme, le compositeur Cole Porter est assis seul à son piano dans son appartement new-yorkais. Alors qu'il pianote les premiers accords d'un air mélancolique et familier, un mystérieux étranger du nom de Gabe apparaît pour l'emmener dans un vieux théâtre. Si l'endroit semble vide aux premiers abords, Gabe est pourtant en train de mettre en scène la vie de Cole. Petit à petit, celle-ci va être réinterprétée sous les yeux du vieil homme, lui "ramenant" amants, collègues et amis. Et surtout sa femme, Linda…
